The temptation of the new High Stakes Quick Fire Challenges and some sibling rivalry made things pretty tense for the chefs. For their Quick Fire Challenge, they were greeted by Padma, the guest judge for this week, Todd English, and a craps table. Hmm, two cooking shows with craps tables featured in the challenges in the same week! Weird!
Each chef would roll the dice and the number would result in the number of ingredients they could use their dish. The numbers ranged from three to ten ingredients. This could be very interesting! Michael V. ended up winning and he received $15,000 and immunity! This is sure to heat up that sibling rivalry with his brother Bryan. It was a battle of the sexes for the elimination challenge! The men would be catering a bachelorette party and the women would be catering the bachelor party. Each team needed to create at least two dishes to match the couples’ three favorite shots.
Okay, for any of these chefs that is complaining about the men vs. women teams or needs to get over it! It’s a food challenge so just cook your food and shut your mouth. But I do, however, understand being upset at the idea of the bachelor/bachelorette party for the three chefs who are gay since they cannot enjoy the institution of marriage.
Clearly the men's team won, as Bryan, Eli, Hector, and Michael V. were called out first to choose the winning chef. To complete the sibling rivalry, Bryan won the elimination challenge. So, now, each of the brothers won something this week. Interesting!
So, the girls lost and I’m thinking Eve needs to go home. She was in the bottom last week and during the Quick Fire. Clearly, she cannot cook! Eve was in the bottom, along with Jesse, Preeti, and Ashley. Ashley’s main flaw was doing two dishes and if she hadn’t done that panacotta, she wouldn’t have been in the bottom! I hope she doesn’t go home since she did have one really good dish. Turns out, I was right and Eve was sent home!
